-What is Better Know A Cocktail?

Better Know A Cocktail is my way of exploring the preparation and consumption of various alcoholic beverages. Every day, I will choose a different cocktail and discuss several aspects of its creation, possibly including history, science, recipes, and my opinions.

-How often will you update?

Daily(ish). I’ll try to post one new cocktail per day, but if I get busy/loose interest, it may be less frequent. Hell, maybe I’ll have a really bad day and post three or four articles, each of which will get progressively less comprehensible.

-How long will this nonsense last?

As long as it holds my interest. There are thousands of different cocktails, so my willingness to participate is really the only limiting factor. I’ll try to cover as many truly unique cocktails as I can before I do something stupid, like try every asanine variation of the martini.

-Is your title shamelessly stolen from Stephen Colbert’s 435-part series, Better Know A Congressional District?

Yes, and I’m not the least bit apologetic about it. Maybe one day I’ll be on his Threatdown.
